GUNNAR AHLBERG

Gunnar Ahlberg, M.D, Ph.D. Currently holds a position as senior consultant surgeon at the section for upper abdominal surgery at the department of surgery, Karolinska University Hospital, Solna. He defended his thesis 2005 entitled: "The Role of Simulation Technology for Skills Acquisition in Image Guided Surgery" He founded and still leads the simulation unit at Karolinska, Solna. During recent years he has given numerous national and international lectures in the field of simulation technology. He is also chairman for the Swedish laparoscopic society and will function as president for the EAES meeting which will be held in Stockholm 2008.
